Smart two and a half?

I have not purchased a Smart car yet but had a question for the experts. I know it is called a "Fortwo" my questionis can you seat two adults AND a child seat somehow or is that just crazy talk?

That's crazy talk.

The cargo area is not designed to be occupied though pets are known to use the area.

The bucket seats are too close to consider anything between such as one might experience with bench seats in a truck.

That said, I believe you can put a child car seat on the passenger side - at least technically. As usual, local laws may vary on what's permitted.

Another vote for 'crazy talk'. However, if we literally think outside the box, how about a trailer mounted baby seat with a baby monitor and small heating/cooling unit?

I was going to refer to the many trailer threads, but I thought I'd get booed for doing so. There were also some earlier discussions of roof racks. . .

Crazy talk, yep and totally unsafe. However, when my friend visited her sis in NY, she sat in the cargo area while driving all around the city. She said is was just like sitting on a bench - but warmer.
