Waiting with great anticipation

To anyone in Texas,

I've grown up with the smart in my life as I spent many years in Europe, I've never been more thrilled to hear that that someone finally got "smart" and brought it to the US. I have finally had enough with the increasing gas prices and have ordered my new smart cabrio. I can't stop talking about this car at work and everyone is so excited to see it. Can anyone tell me what the approx. waiting time was/is? I'll be getting my new baby into the Round Rock Center if all goes well. :woohoo

Well, here's an update. The 29 mpg reading we had must have been flawed somehow. Perhaps the tank was not really full on the prior fillup or something.

Our next two calculated mpg's were in the 36-38 range, in mixed driving. More like it.

We have seen two other smarts in the DFW area. My wife is still treated like a rock star.

28 mpg my first fill up. Of course no clue if it was truly full from the dealership.
35 improvement over 1st fill up.
42 This was with a lot of in town driving and rush hourS traffic for at least 3 drives.

Being TX I of course used A/C. Make sure the A/C light is on and recirc will help. I've had no problems {knock on wood!} thus far with the A/C and its cooling ability.

I just got mine in San Antonio. People actually seem to take it well on the streets and it definitely gets noticed, so people are aware of you driving around them.
