My configuration email came in while I was off on vacation, but the pin still worked. Whew.
My wife and I sat down and made a few option upgrades and hit the finish button. My old Metro is starting to look the worse for wear. It'll still be a great little "second" car. She plans to use it for her Grocery getter while I use the Smart for my commuter car.
I'll miss the Stereo installed in the Metro, but that's not critical.
I went ahead and checked the delivery date again, and was pleased to see it has bumped up to October through December. How accurate has the estimator been for folks? Pretty close?
It's time to call my insurance guy and figure out what I want to do for coverage. I'll probably have him carry it at market value rather than purchase price. It's amazing what these cars are going for out there! My '99 Metro is worth almost twice what I paid for it used six years ago with 1/3 the miles. Crazy!
Anyway, first post. Looking forward to having something that hasn't been used for desert camping, and hauling sandbags!
