Tell me about the roof

do all passions have this panoramic roof? could someone show me a picture of it from above? is it like one solid piece of clear plastic, or what is the story? is it a windshield that is extra high? I have yet to even have the pleasure of standing next to one of these cars, so I know only what I have read.

I am praying for the opportunity to sell my harley when warmer weather sets in so I can buy one of these cuties.

They are clear or optionally a solid plastic sheet. There is lots of information here about them some people like it some do not. For me it is one of the best parts of the car.

FWIW, I like it. I've always been a sunroof kind of guy, so the extra light is nothing new. (still wish I could open it up though... piano hinges here I come) I kept the shade closed during the summer (car got too hot otherwise), and since about september I have the shade open.

It gets really hot in summer. I wish the sunshade had reflective properties.

I'm one of those that dislike the panorama roof. This past August I bought an orphan passion coupe. I found that that, even though the sun shade blocked most of the light, it still let heat from the sun through. Furthermore, the A/C would ice up when I tried to set it to a comfortable temperature. I have since sold that car and configured an '09 with a solid roof (plus many other options that weren't on the '08).

Also note that many people have reported problems with the sunshade mechanism.

A quick fix is to buy the sunshade made specifically for the roof. It is a must have in the summertime here in Vegas. Smart Madness was selling them but they dont seem to be on their website anymore. If you want to go cheap you can just put a standard window sunshade up there. The thick metallic ones work great.
