That was my march pre order also.

Then I saw the beige in July, in person, and it was not what I was thinking. Too lite beige, or something, like it would show dirt like crazy.

You definitely want to verify that you want this interior beige before ordering it, if at all possible.

Im now thinking red, (I saw in person, and its great, and I dont like red interiors)

Black cloth is a close second, or may a tie with red, but, the supervisor at the 800 number said black interiors get black lips arpund the 3 instruments, NOT SILVER like you see on the cool barabus model.

I hope he is wrong.

Also thinking maybe leather, but, not sure, as you can see.

I have read some posts, but will try to get more read when I'm on layover. I'm a Corporate Pilot, so you will see me around a lot when I'm not at home, but less when I am home.

The biggest thing I have noticed already is how concerned people are about when they will get one. I understand this completely, but I am unique in that I have had a couple of cars custom built, so this wait will seem like a breeze!!!! My last custom took over a year, I had to make installments as it was built and was always worried the guy my disappear or not finish it. Then service on it was a pain, because it was custom. I look forward to a fun car, that is also a production car. I'm guessing Kansas City or Minneapolis will be my closest dealers, but hey thats a lot closer to Iowa then Tennessee, which is where my last car was custom built.

I put reservation on Cabrio m blue with silver cell I live in Abilene texas . I fell in love with smart last year when visiting Germany .I learned that they were import to US this year from a car show in Idaho: ordered after that Aug 9

I just reserved mine! Red with black tridion on the outside and a red interior. I noticed on the colors page that it says black interior isnt available in the US but its listed as a color option when you reserve.... Also there wasnt a menu to select packages?! Or did I miss that.

That's my first color choice - coupe or cabrio? You probably didn't miss a menu. If you have just completed the $99 reservation, no there is no menu for options or packages - just the model type, body and interior colors preferences are recorded in the reservation.

I got the coupe. Took me a while to decide between a red interior or a black cause I thought the red might be overkill if the car is already red but I figured black interior would be prone to showing everything stuck to it...ie cigarette ash and stuff.

I confirmed a reservation on a metallic red Passion coupe with a silver Tridion and a red interior. I looked real hard at the leather seats, but as it only was available as part of a package that included options I wasn't interested in paying for, and it was onlyavailable as part of a black interior I had to pass it up.
I also reserved the following options: premium sound system, alarm, fog lamps, and the electric power steering. I nearly went for the heated seats, but it just doesn't get all that cold in this part of Michigan.
I'm on pins and needles, as we all are, waiting for a call from a salesman to talk about final pricing and delivery!
