After reading everyone's "wait time" for their smart car order I am almost embarrassed to tell my story. I walked into the Mercedes dealer on Saturday, just about DIED when I saw the White with Black Cabrio and told the salesman "I want that car". He said ok, that it had been special ordered and the people wouldn't get back to him, so if by Monday he didn't hear from them he would sell it to me. The people wouldn't return his call. So he called me and said come and get it. So today, I went in and drove it for the first time and loved it. Bought it. I get it Saturday. I told the salesman that in May of 2004 I tried to buy one in Italy, but they couldn't sell one and send it to the States because American wouldn't allow it then. Then in 2005 I had an accident in my 2005 mini cooper, rolled 4 times, killed my best friend, broke my back and neck and was in a coma. The accident was the fault of a guy across the highway who was on drugs, fell asleep and came across into my lane. After I came out of the coma and out of the hospital, I drove a Hummer. The biggest one. Now I am no longer afraid of little cars, sold the Hummer, am back in a Mini Cooper and Saturday will be in my smart car. YES!!!! Dreams do come true......
. I am replacing a Subaru Forester that has been a real trooper when it comes to some of the places I found a trail head. She waits so patiently until I re-emerge from the green depths of some trail;) but....I need to turn this thinking around or I will start to think a scooter is a viable alternative; that should be fun 
come winter in the Mid-West.
