Whooo Hooooo I FINALLY got my Cabrio on Nov 22nd... I was soooo excited traveling the 110 miles to pick it up at Tysons Corner in VA. The salesman was so nice and informative making the transaction a pleasure. I was a little nervous as I drove out of the parking lot knowing I had to drive the interstate back home in such a wee car. But after a few miles I began to calm down and reaching for the raido and finding Alabama singing Mountain Music.... I was jamming... I really enjoyed the ride home. My husband was in front of me doing 70 and he called me on my cell and asked me if I was ok. I told him I was paddeling as fast as I can to keep up with him. At a red light I pulled up beside him and reved the engine and winked at him (he was in a BMW). Light changed to green and wooshhhh off I went. You know... I think he just let me win that one!!! He called again and asked when could he drive it. So we stopped after about 75 miles and he drove. As we changed vehicles at the service station, there were these 3 guys in a big Ford truck and they pointed and laughed. I was thinking ok when gas goes back up to $4.00 + a gallon I will be the one laughing at the gas station. But they did it in fun though. My husband was impressed with all the room, the pickup and even though it is not a BMW or other muscle car... he loved it. And you don't feel like you are in a small car!! At the dealership, there was a skeleton Smartcar and you could see the inside where all the steel is and all the safety stuff. Anyway, my car is a 2009 Passion Cabrio, metalic blue with black trition and black leather interior. I oppted for the heated seats, alarm and fog lights (well worth the costs). I have named my car "Tink" I found the Tinkerbell floormats at Walmart (only had to cut about 6" off the top of one. They fit perfect. $20.00 is better than 49.95 for the cheapest Smart mats. My tag will say
Fari Dst when I get it. I will post picture soon. Happy motoring everyone and Happy Thanksgiving. I know I am thankful for all God has done.
