Test Drive...

I live in Nashville, TN and would like to drive or at least ride in a Smartcar before buying. Any suggestions other than going to Knoxville?

I went to where the Smart dealer will be here in Birmingham today, and one of the Mercedes salesmen said Smart of Birmingham will be open late July or mid August '08. They sould have a demo when they open the door if you can wait that long.

If mine comes in a year and a half early, I'll PM and we can meet in Huntsville and you can drive it around the block.

Mike's willing to drive 3-5 hours to you just so you can drive it around the block. How awesome is that?

How many other cars do that to an owner?

Seriously, the car's possessed... it begs to be driven. I'm away from home for a week and half expect my car to be repositioned when I get home, with half a tank of gas missing. It'll drive itself if you don't watch it.

I agree with that assessment! My husband insisted on using his car to make a pet store run on Sunday. I was heartbroken, and Li'l Bean was verrrrry sad! She loves to be driven, and boy have I put on the mileage in a little over two weeks! Well over 700 miles! It had 10 on it when I picked it up on 6/20/08!
