Are there really more smart cars out there now or...

am I seeing more because now I have reserved one and I'm just paying more attention to them?

I live in San Jose and I keep a black one driving around in my area, and for two days in a row now I have seen a red cabrio driving around. In fact I saw the red cabrio driving around today with the roof partially back. I feel like I'm being teased!!!!!!

a Smart idea?

I also think you are seeing more because you have an interest in them. It is also true that more are realizing the Fortwo is a Smart idea.

I agree, you see more by your interest....

Oddly enough a few years ago I bought a Wrangler; never had I noticed so many zipping around where I live

Even my son (who was young) said 'look everyone is buying Wranglers cos you have one'

Cheers

There are more smarts!

You are seeing more. Since you mentioned your in San Jose, I'll tell you...we were heading up the Pachaco Pass on 08/04/08 and saw a car carrier truck packed full of smarts. Not just smarts, but every one of them were Bumble Bees (yellow/black). It was like a traveling beehive!

Now, my DDE is 08/26/08 to 11/24/08, and I've ordered a Pure Bumble Bee. Guess what, there was an orphan on that truck with MY name it! We pick it up on Monday. So cool that we were able to see the truck going over the pass and now get one of the Bees

It depends on where you are. From this thread, San Jose is one of the cities with a good number of smarts. I haven't seen a single one (other than mine) on the road in Panama City, although other people have told me they've seen a red one here.
