There's so much to learn

I bought my car on the internet, thats something I thought I would never do! and now I need to learn about my car. Like how to get the radio to work,my sunroof is covered. I'm getting 43 mpg, how long is the break-in period, how to open the front hood etc.... I hope I can get answers to these question (someday). I'll look around to see what I can find.

Under Helpful Links (tothe left of window) there is a link to 451 smart fortwo Owner's Manual that you can look at on line. I am assuming that for some reason you did not get one with car.

Opening the front hood and the engine compartment covers... before you do, pay close attention to where the tabs are so you can align them right when you close 'em up again. They're kind of tricky.

Front hood - I drove two months with one part sticking up because I didn't know there was a groove on the top right corner, and I thought it was warped. Turns out it was just misaligned.

Rear/engine cover - Twisting that key is impossible if you don't get the two tabs of the main cover pushed all the way forward (toward front of car) into the slots. If the key spins freely or won't close as easily as it opened, make sure it's aligned. Only a few millimeters is enough to cause you grief. I don't know why they designed it like that.
