The one about the grannies tranny ran through my mind before the day i got mine too, I also was itchy about the safety being that small of a car, but once i took mine on a full day of driving those little worries went away fast.
One thing that really prepared me for the Smart was that i rode in two different Passions, drove one of them around the block and did plenty of reading up on the little car. By the time i got mine, i already knew what i was getting into, and i always encourage others to do the same before they get the Smart. Oh and ignore those nasty reviews from such mags as Consumer Reports, they are so biased to begin with.
I had nagging questions running through my mind...
"Did I do the right thing ?"
"Did I get hosed on the price ?"
"Is it gonna be a nag on the freeway ?"
"Am I going to regret the tiny size ?"
"Sure, it's fun to drive, but will this tranny drive me crazy ?"
"Am I
really going to get the stated MPG ?"
After a month of ownership, I can tell you that getting my Passion Cabrio was, well, a smart move....
You'll be glad you bought yours !![/QUOTE]
