Hi all US owners!

Great forum - found some useful advice and tips on the latest model before finally upgrading my 4 year old ForTwo Coupe with a Cabrio.

Nice to these little devils are popular across the pond! I never saw any when I there a few years ago, but I see loads in Paris and London.

Welcome! No 451 smarts here prior to January 08, although there were a few gray market 450s running around. Hope to see some of the UK smarts in October.

Hi Suze - nice pink Smart!

The MHD is a clever innovation. As soon as you come to a stop, the engine shuts off, then as soon as you lift your foot off the brake, it starts again. Godd for the environment in the city. I thought this was going to be annoying, but it starts immediately and doesn't crank over like when you first start a car. After a while you forget it's in operation. The only disconcerting thing is when I stop in front of my garage, it shuts off, then I left my foot off the brake to get out the car to open the garage door and it starts again! Made me jump the first time! I've now decided I need a remote garage door opener!!
