I second that commotion!

Despite good sales now, there's not enough per car profit in it to make MB jump. Also, about half of the current smart dealers are NOT MB, so that might make it costly to buy 'em.

and I'm sure Roger Penske was smart enough to ink a long term deal with MB, If anything they would have to buy him out.

Penske gets the $99 reserve fee [every penny]. That is the biggest benefit he gets out of the whole deal. I have a hard time thinking he will be backing out anytime soon.

Well, yes and no. He gets to hold it until your car comes in. If you keep the car, it's applied to the final price at the time of sale, so somehow it gets back to the dealer. If you refuse the car, the $99 comes back to you.

Roger Penske does two things incredibly well. Make money, and know where to spend it. I'd be extremely surprised if he took a powder this fast. Rumor.
