Very lucky orphan owner!

Hi, love this forum and wanted to introduce myself. I am the proud new owner of a pure red/black orphan! We have been researching the smart car for about 2 months after spotting one in our small town. I had the chance to sit in the only one in town and loved it. I finally convinced my husband it was worth the 3 hr. drive to Bloomfield Hills, Mi last Tuesday and had the test drive appointment. The salesman asked if we were going to write a check or finance and I said I thought there was a waiting list. He explained they had a pure orphan but it had air, premium radio 10 and speaker package. Also tinted windows, and custom handpainted pinstriping! We looked it over and decided to take it. I had wanted a yellow/black pure with air only, but even with the costly extras it was still a good deal. I picked it up on Sat. and drove home in the rain, but it was wonderful. Since I've had it I have had numerous questions and people even knock on my front door to ask about it! I have been so excited and happy with it, that it is still hard to sleep without dreaming of my new lady bug. I call her Boop for Betty Boop and couldn't be happier!!!

I also got an "orphan" red with black Smart car. I had 17" Lorinser Speedy wheels put on yesterday, they are awesome!!

The good thing about the red is it is already prepped for paint. You can have your panels painted your favorite color later on, then hopefully have a 1 of a kind Smart. That's what I'll be doing in the future.

Back a few months ago I put myself on the orphan list at a few dealerships in Florida, got a call yesterday on a loaded blue/black Passion. I missed the call and someone else got the car. I don't want it but my parents want one now after driving mine.
