From the pictures it doesn't even look like the front service flap is scratched up that's impressive, and probably lucky too. You'd normally expect at least a busted headlight or cracked grill.

I'd think the accident could have been avoided if the bovine used it's horn. You'd think as a steer, he might steer clear of an accident, but no.

Wasn't the 451 designed to be more "pedestrian friendly" than the 450?

Oy... good lord man - sorry to see/hear that. Glad you are okay though!

I live in far North Silver Spring (1.5 miles south of the 198/29 interchange)... well - for 2 more weeks. At any rate, where did this happen?

A Very, Very Sad story Part 2

This occured At Conn. Ave & Old Jones Bridge Road, deer came out of nowhere never saw it till it was too late. Let me update folks on Repairs. The Mercedes Dealership has been waiting for an insurance adjuster to come by, the insurance co. said "tell us what it will cost, we will pay" . Now the Mercedes dealer is not sure about getting glass, but will have a more complete answer on Thursday. My fear is that there is not replacement glass in this country and will take months. Any experience out there on replacement glass?

How about soiled seats?

First you say it...

Then you do it...

Oy... that's a pretty thick area. I had one run out in front of me on Jones Mill about a year ago and I damn near ended up in someone's front yard trying to avoid it.

Good luck with it!

Bambi revenge

Recently, Pennsylvania reported 80,000 deer/motor vehicle collisions ... per year. And they are on the increase due to lack of predators and abundance of food (that means our farmers are not only feeding US!)

My sister in law in Round Hill, VA just mentioned a mass escape at a local bison farm! Gives you good reason to be thankful that they tested these in Europe against simulated moose!

Finally, if you want to seek revenge, the Smithsonian and National Zoo maintain a farm out near Front Royal to house their excess critters and raise food. The local deer have invaded and breed out of control. They open the area to hunter's groups to cull the population. Maybe you can find your attacker.

Good luck

Nice Zombie You dug up here.
On my 900 mile journey this weekend I passed two deer strikes.

First was between Rochester and Bloomington MN. The deer was sitting in the left lane, pick up that hit it was off on the right shoulder and another on the right. the Owner of the pick up the right was just finishing loading his gun to put the deer down as I drove by.

On the way home from the twin cities I saw another deer strike in the other side of the Highway. I didn't see the deer before it got hit, I just saw it rolling over the poor guys hood and the big dent it left.

Be careful out there folks.
