Thanks Danag. I made my reservation in mid Sept. And last week was the first time I used the delivery date estimator. It gave me a June 2009 - August 2009 window, ie. 9 to 11 months after they take the $99 deposit.

Can you post when you are asked to configure? Thanks.

i also made my reservation in March 2008 (1536), and at that time my DDE was "Oct-Dec 2009". since then it's moved up one month every other month until i configured in September. then it moved up TWO months and now THIS month it moved up again.

now my DDE is "Feb-Apr 2009", which would be just about 12 months from reservation to delivery.

Res #1495 made in late Feb 08. New DDE is for Nov 08 to jan 09

I think this reservation thing is like a long e-ride at Disneyland.
I reserverd 3-1-08, configured an 08 in Aug., DDE May-July 09. 3 weeks later got the email to configire for a 09, DDE March-June 09. Then DDE changed to Feb.-April 09. 2 weeks ago the DDE changed to Oct.-Dec. 08. Today the DDE says can not be estimated at this time. I am so confused. Sin City Red

reserved in march 08..was told 9 mothd to a year...just configured and expect car in January 09...so time was accurate

Too many people rely on Consumer Reports for "accurate" reviews of cars. A few thousand probably did, saw the horrible writeup(s) and decided to cancel. Most of those would have complained about the car to their friends anyway. It's not for everyone... and it doesn't have to be. When you've got the iQ, Yaris, and others coming onto the market, the demand is spread out more now.
