Hi: I live in St. Augustine, Fl. & ordered the Smart Car Passion 5/27/08. Their 90 day automated window keeps sneaking back & now states 5/30/08 to end of Aug '08. The dealer up in Jacksonville "thinks" I should get it toward the beginning of the window. We 1st drove the Smart Car while visiting Vienna, Austria about 8 yrs ago & loved it. Then drove it twice here: 1st during their road show & then took a demo out @ the dealer. Any "guesses" when I'll get it? Also, any of you trade in vehicles? I have a mint condition '99 Toyota RAV4 & the dealer tells me they will accept trade ins. I've printed the Kelly Blue Book & the "Black Book" trade in value. If I don't get that Black Book price, I'll keep the RAV4 & either sell it locally & just keep the bloody thing. Lastly, have any of you driven your Smart Cars on an Interstate? Heck, I drove a VW bug & during college (many moons ago) a MGA roadster. I'll just be careful. Thanks. Ron

You want a guess on your delivery: I'd say mi-late June. As for handling the smart on the Interstate: if you handled a bug, you're ready and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

If you liked the bug, you'll love the fortwo. I had a 72 Super Beetle in college. I've made a couple of short runs on the Veterans Expressway / Suncoast Parkway with the fortwo just fine. I'm headed to Orlando in a couple of weeks, so I'll get some time on I-75 and I-4.

My cabrio showed up two to four weeks into the 90 day window, depending on which estimate I believed. By then though, I'd adopted one almost exactly like what I'd ordered. Smart Center Clearwater offered me just over half what my 99 Trans-Am convertible is worth, so I'm going to sell it myself.
