My husband asked me if I would like to go to a Smart car dealership for a test drive last Saturday. We had heard about them but I've never had the pleasure of driving one. It was absolute love at first sight! I really loved the way I could turn it into a manual shift (sans clutch). Needless to day, I drove home that evening in my new Passion Cabriolet. Was I lucky or what?
What a dream - to test drive one and bring it home the very same day! My old 1969 Bug had (what they called) an automatic transmission (lacking a clutch). Never had any problems with it - kept it 12 years and passed it to another owner.
