Whirlwind... picked up my Brabus yesterday!

Hi All - Here's my experience and its been... well, a bit surreal. It was all of about 3 weeks when I put my $99 reservation in for a smart car. I received a call the very next day (Sunday no less) confirming if I made the reservation, if I was really interesting in purchasing a smart and what kind I wanted. I admitted that I did not want a passion coupe or cabrio, and that I wanted the silver/silver brabus cabrio. She politely explained that only 1500 were made available to existing reservation holders, but that she could put me on the orphan list and if someone's reservation fell through that she would call me. I'm like "sure, put me on the list" while at the same time, I'm thinking... how long is this list? I asked her how long would it be... one year? she said, you never know, it might be as soon as 2-3 weeks. Well, after that, I could not stop thinking about this car and how much I really wanted it. So I put in for an auto loan and was immediately approved with a good rate (another sign) and I waited for a bit, and sure enough 2 weeks later she called me up and asked me if I was still interested. Can you believe it? A week after that, and the car arrives. This is the 3rd orphan car that she has had and she said she tried another couple that was ahead of me on the list, but the spouse did not want the car so he ended up backing out.
Anyway - It's all been a bit quick, and I've fallen madly in love with this sporty little cute thing.
Hey.. thanks to this Forum... I read b4 doing the reservation and someone made the suggestion to put down the $99 in even if I did not regular passion or the cabrio and to get on the orphan list... it worked!!!

lol... sorry to miss lead. Ironically, it was extremely gusty and windy yesterday driving home from the dealer and it handled well, especially since I was driving it for the first time. I could feel and hear) the wind guts, but nothing more than I experience in my jetta.

In Arizona they'll strip your paint and sand-blast your exposed glass in nothing flat~! Been there, done that . . .
