Not from the factory. The good news is that within the first 12 months of the smart being sold in the USA there are two separate aftermarket turbo kits available now. That's pretty good IMHO.

But you're in Imperial gallons, aren't you? In wich case it translates to 37.46/41.63 for the US...

ON the subject of MPG, not sure how many miles you have covered but once past 10,000 mile, I saw a big improvement (just under 14,000 mile to-date)

Gear change also seems to improve as well as general running - much smoother

Here's what's confusing - when you pull into the station to gas up, the fuel is sold by the liter. Then you get back in your rental car and the odometer reads in miles. If you stop at a pub for a beer you get it by the pint, but if you run into Tescos for a bottle of Coke it's the same two liter size we have in the USA. So it's a mix of the English (Imperial) and metric system, plus driving on the left. Looking forward to our visit in a month or so.

Started in 1971, have been either stationed there or visiting old friends ever since. Great place IMHO.

Welcome PaulG, another Brit on here, great wee site, lots of modded cars, these guys are really into their smarts.

Hey Jwight, where in the uk are you going and when as I may be able to advise if there is going to be any smart meets in the area while you are here.
Oh yeh, wwwwwwhhhhhhyyyy would you want to come to this dump?
If you don't want to post on here PM me.
Just saying this as there is a big story going around the UK at the moment about Pro footballers houses being broke into when they are away playing football games, as the thieves know they are away from home, and they have stacks of money, too much if you ask me.
