453 first oil change at 2000 miles

Just change my oil and filter and it was black and the oil filter was black of dirty oil, the oil rubber ring on the oil filter cup does not go all the way in to the botton of the plastic cup there is a recess 3/4 from the begining of the treath
The oil plug is square my mechanic didnt have the tool so he use plyers but he was very gentle I order from ebay a set of square adapters 8 mm and 10 mm for next time .
Im planing to do changes evry 5k.

Bottom of the engine, left side, ad towards the front of the car.

Wait, I think the OP is referring to the drain "plug". Isn't that different than the oil filter cap??? No 453 here so I have no idea....

Yes.
The drain plug, on the bottom of the very flat oil pan, is round with a recessed square. Smaller than a 3/8" drive extension, larger than a 1/4".

I'll be looking on the SnapOn tool truck tomorrow...since I plan on changing oil every 5K as well...
