New Smart will become broader and more "premium"

Hello from Germany!

Due to motorzeitung.de the next Smart-generation will become much broader and more "premium".

That fits to this spy-picture:

The same thing happens to a lot of us over the years - at least the broader part.

it looks like just the wheels and wells that are wider.

Of course, they're just using a current 451 body as a test mule for new underpinnings (as is commonly done). So, the next gen car, won't "look" anything like a 451 with muddin' fender flares.

I have seen that picture before, Not sure if it is a model to come or just a test vehicle.

Yeah, have seen this spy pic before. Its a test vehicle being put thru a run. It has a current 451 body bolted to the "secret" new undercarriage.

It obviously depicts the new vehicle as much wider than the standard 451, and using the fender extentions to disguise the difference.
