Relatively quickly will come in 2014, both the new forfour (fortwo with a long wheelbase) and the new fortwo on the market. The engines will come after Daimler specification of Renault / Nissan and Mitsubishi no longer (as in the 451er gasoline). All engines are start-stop and have probably back on turbocharging. The Mercedes diesel is no longer available because it is not calculated here, and later realize EU6 EU7. The normal customer smart moves relatively short distances and can therefore expensive exhaust treatment with a lower fuel consumption over shorter distances no longer compensate.
On the transmission side will be plenty more amazing. The brand-new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (7G-DCT), which is celebrating at the IAA in the B-Class will debut in a slightly altered offered as an option for a more attractive price in the new generation of smart. DaimlerChrysler responds to criticism of switching to long pauses. What the new smart for a standard transmission is obtained, but currently not yet decided. One option is a standard H-shift or automatic transmission (as before).
The design should be optimized even more on a better drag coefficient and forvision lean on.
