What's new for 2014?

Hello from Germany!

Start your Online-Translator:

Relativ zeitnah wird in 2014 sowohl der neue forfour (fortwo mit langem Radstand) und der neue fortwo auf den Markt kommen. Die Motoren werden nach Daimler Spezifikation von Renault/Nissan stammen und nicht mehr von Mitsubishi (wie bei den 451er Benzinern). Alle Motoren werden über Start-Stopp und wohl auch wieder über Turboaufladung verfügen. Der Mercedes-Diesel wird nicht mehr angeboten, da es sich nicht mehr rechnet, hier EU6 und später EU7 zu realisieren. Der normale smart Kunde fährt relativ kurze Strecken und kann somit die teure Abgasnachbehandlung durch einen niedrigeren Dieselverbrauch über kürzere Strecken nicht mehr kompensieren.

Auf der Getriebeseite wird sich jedoch erstaunlich viel tun. Das brandneue 7-Gang-Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (7G-DCT), was auf der IAA in der B-Klasse Premiere feiert wird in leichter Abwandlung optional für einen attraktiven Mehrpreis in der neuen smart Generation angeboten. Daimler reagiert damit auf die Kritik der zu langen Schaltpausen. Was der neue smart für ein Standardgetriebe erhält, ist derzeit jedoch noch nicht beschlossen. Zur Wahl steht eine normale H-Schaltung oder ein automatisierte Schaltgetriebe (wie bisher).
Das Design soll auch verstärkt auf einen besseren cW-Wert optimiert werden und sich am forvision anlehnen.

Relatively quickly will come in 2014, both the new forfour (fortwo with a long wheelbase) and the new fortwo on the market. The engines will come after Daimler specification of Renault / Nissan and Mitsubishi no longer (as in the 451er gasoline). All engines are start-stop and have probably back on turbocharging. The Mercedes diesel is no longer available because it is not calculated here, and later realize EU6 EU7. The normal customer smart moves relatively short distances and can therefore expensive exhaust treatment with a lower fuel consumption over shorter distances no longer compensate.

On the transmission side will be plenty more amazing. The brand-new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (7G-DCT), which is celebrating at the IAA in the B-Class will debut in a slightly altered offered as an option for a more attractive price in the new generation of smart. DaimlerChrysler responds to criticism of switching to long pauses. What the new smart for a standard transmission is obtained, but currently not yet decided. One option is a standard H-shift or automatic transmission (as before).
The design should be optimized even more on a better drag coefficient and forvision lean on.

Why does it say DaimlerChrysler in the second paragraph of translation?
I see Daimler in the original, I am guessing it is just a robot translation error?

Umm, because in its previous life, the "robot" was a K-car?

Think you are correct, the translation software may not have been updated to reflect the divorce . . .

How about Back OFF! turbocharging as opposed to back on turbo charging.
As in BACK OFF! or I'll blow your Doors off! (like Jet Fuel does it. I'm still quaking in my boots from that test ride!)
