26 motorcycle crash

I'm posting this because I know a lot of smarties also ride. This afternoon, south of Portland on I-5 a club of bikers collided with an SUV.

Terrible tragedy.

Terrible tragedy.
"BROTHER SPEED M/C is a club that is serious about brotherhood, respect, riding fast and building choppers," the club writes on its Oregon Web site.

There were 3 bikes traveling in front of me going home the other day. Cutting WAY close in front of cars & weaving in and out of traffic. Cruisers, not sport, no helmet either. I was just waiting for them to clip a car - didn't happen. On top of that they were side-by-side in one lane, heavy traffic.

When I used to ride, rode my entire life and only quit 3 years ago, I would only ride side-by-side in NO traffic and only for brief interactions with whomever I was riding with.

This goes to show riding close knit like that is a recipe for disaster. A shame it happened.

Well the bicycle world has it worse I guess.

It's terrible that some bikers tend to think that they own the world. Because eventually truth will always slap them in the face

Just another instance of natural selection at work, IMHO.

J, I hope your comment refers to m/c riders and not the bikers.

I don't understand what you mean. They were in a race in a group just like any group NASCAR accident.

And bikers in a race have helmets and are only going a fraction of the speeds Motorcycles are going

Perhaps it would be handy to have that article when some one says they would rather be on a motorcycle than in a Fortwo?
