Air show

Wondering if anybody here will be going to the open house at McGuires this weekend?

My Dad and I will be going to the McGuire Air Force Base Open House and Air Show tomorrow. I am not sure if we will be taking my Dad's car - a Ford Focus - or my car - the Smart Fortwo. There are restrictions as to what one can have and not have when going. I won't mind agreeing to it the air show and open house is FREE. With the Smart, I won't have to clean out the trunk since it does not have one. There is plenty of room in back for two folding chairs and some soda bottlers/bags of food. I plan to take photos of the air show.

I went to the air show and open house on Saturday the 12th of May. I thought I would be for about an hour. We - I took my Dad - was there for a few hours. It took almost a half hour to walk to the event. We parked far away from it. I wish I had a chair with wheels (like a wheel chair but with smaller wheels and pushed by someone behind it). We rested a few times to get there. Once there, there were a lot of people there. There were some really awesome planes. There was one from World War I and a few from World War II. There were some modern planes in abundance. There were acrobatics form planes. There were military performances. I like the flyby by a F111; wings in landing mode and speed mode. I was able to take some photos. I had a problem of seeing the screen on my phone due to bright sunlight. It was really nice.

We got lost on the way there but managed to get there with some help. It took a while to get home since we started out the wrong direction. The rest of the day I spent recovering from sunburn and aching body and muscles.

We took my Smart car since I thought they might search the car (well that was my excuse anyway). They did not but they did (some what) search my bag I had.
