All good things must come to an end

So, for whomever is interested, I have sold my 2008 smart.
I really wanted to buy a 453, but the gas tank issue kept me away. I thought that I would purchase an Elio to replace my smart, but obviously that isn't going to happen anytime soon, if at all.
I would just like to say that owning a smart has been one of the best experiences I've ever had with a car. This car owes me nothing. 110k+ and not one major problem. I will miss it.
I would also like to thank current and past members of scoa and eviloution for the enormous amount of information that everyone contributed.
A special thanks to all the Moderators!!
My time here has been well spent. I have no regrets and wish everyone all the luck in the world, but as the title suggest it is time to move on.
So once again THANKS SCOA!! Good luck, and fair thee well.

It would be of interest to know what you replaced the smart with.

I have the 2016 and have 2300 miles on it. Dealership just did the service update and changed out my gas tank. Took a couple of days, but can get 6+ gallons in before initial shut off...better than the 4.3 gallons before.

Just a newbie here, old with excitement to drive again.

When I had difficulty finding any Smart Car's after four months, it became tedious. Also much lost time.

When I finally found one at the right lease price, I never looked back. It still has been a short time since I got into it and drove back home but each day is a new adventure.

I went out and got new glasses yesterday just so I could see a tad better.

I also bought a front facing loop video camera from what I read many people, not just the Russians are placing in the front window. It was a knee jerk purchase but it also has really good audio for those stops, any idea why I stopped you, today. Ahhh, I lost my bonnet?

My friend sent me a picture and the elio website. It got so close to lease end I was even looking at electric motor bicycles. I knew I wouldn't get on a bicycle at 15 degree temperature so that was a fleeting thought.

I guess my main problem was not delivery date. I try to not even read the money beggar trend sites because if I read too many I actually felt, the car, etc was just around the corner, so I just don't need to see gear unavailable anymore.

I too looked at the elio but the date of progression was way out into the future a year ago so I just kind of dropped it. I hope you get one quickly with lots of nice driving ahead.
