Anyone been to South Korea?

S. Korea is a great place to visit, my wife is from Seoul and she goes home every couple of years. It is wall to wall traffic and people in Seoul, lots of neet stuff to see, especially Panmunjom (DMZ), there a scheduled tourist trips, you can see the N. Korean soldiers and learn a lot of why we are still there. S. Korea is nothing like it was even 10 years ago. It is not as inexpensive as some other Asian countries, but not as bad as Tokyo. I am sure you will enjoy the trip, lots of Koreans speak English, most signs are in both Korean & English.

I sure do miss Korean street food. Its all deep fried and has too much salt, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
And when trying the restaurants, I usually avoided the ones on the main drag and tried to find one a couple of blocks out of the way. Less touristy and better food.

Dive in and try the Kimchee. There are several different varieties. Try them all.

When shopping, go for quality, not quantity. All of the cheap stuff I bought there is long gone, but the high-workmanship pieces are still treasures.
