We gays are attracted to this car for the same reasons you were. However, many of us have learned to not care what other people think. It is more important to be happy than to be miserable pretending to be what one thinks the world wants you to be than to be yourself.
Now go back out there, hug that wonderful little car that you own, in front of God and everybody, and don't ever listen to Colbert again unless you really miss his humor.
