Cute Lil' Siku die-cast Smarty on eBay.

Something to sit on your computer while you type to us here. Oh, if you hunt for it there is also a Cabrio.

Looks like it would be nice with my other two model smarts picked up from the smart house in Venice, CA.

Hey spdickey,
Could you provide a bit of info for me?

Looks you have a HO scale (1:87) on top and a 1:18, 1:43 or 1:50 scale on the bottom.

What I've been researching is who actually is making the offical smartware stuff.

What I know so far from the official smartware 1:87 scale cars I have is they are made by Busch.

It's the 1:18, 1:43 or 1:50 scale smartware that I don't have any of yet. I've been holding out until the 451 models are more available.

If your larger model is 1:18, 1:43 or 1:50 (let me know what scale it is) and I see that it is a 451 could you let me know is the manufacture? I think it may be made by either Miasto, Minichamps or Kyosho.

Also, could you verify your 1:87 scale as made by Busch?

The dealer here in Chandler AZ didn't have any smartware displayed when I visited last week. I'll be collecting whatever they offer. But I would like to know who makes it so I can other models from the same manufacturer.

Thanks a bunch in advance,

Ron #1175

I am over in Germany right now. I have already bought 7 of the Siku smarts.
They sell here for $1.50 - $2. I am still looking for the larger smarts. Maybe when I visit Smartville next week. Also bought a cool 1/87 smart with Bitburger Pils logo for $12.

While visiting the hospital, I noticed a locked case that they have with toys in it. They had a red Cabrio and a blue Cabrio. I'm guessing it's about 1:42 scale. They don't sell them in the gift shop and I'm typically visiting in the evening and know one knows who has the key to the case. They looked like they're metal. Then, when passing by the case during my last visit ... the blue one was gone! It may be just as well as I have a pattern of, how do I say it, buying the car that ends up as a toy on my desk. The red one doesn't quite do it for me (wife's car is red, the Smart may not make it in the garage for a while). Still, I hear the haunting exhortation from my childhood: "Collect them all!"

I know these models are out there; but, I've been unable to find them on the net. To hold me over, I ordered a blue Passion Coupe on ebay but it is a 1:84 scale model and I'd like something a little larger.

I just bought it!! Since it's not a collector's item, I'm going to paint the Tridion black and hang it on my yellow smartie's rear-view mirror.
Thanks for the ebay heads-up, Bob!

Got a couple more of those Siku Fortwo's today and a 1/18 red smart roadster. I see the Sikus everywhere-even as fire or police complete w/red light on top! This keeps up, I'll have to leave some clothes behind to fit them all in my luggage.

Mike, You'll really be in trouble then if you visit a high end German toy / model train store. Especially if they carry Busch scale models.
