Hey, I need some advice from anyone living in Mexico or that has done this:

I'm thinking of going to Mexico to get some dental work done. My family all has bad teath and to get the work I need done here would cost more than the smart, and the financing on the smart was easier.

I need a Dentist who does implants first of all. And I need one that will use Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) at a bear minium. I am deathly afraid of dentists and even talking about them makes me want to shut down. Preferably one who does not charge an arm and a leg to knock me out. And location is an issue. We are trying to pool our AA rewards to fly but I don't know if that would work. So close to the Texas border would be nice. Please let me know.

I have clients and a neighbor who have traveled to Mexico for Dental Service and all have been pleased. I have heard that you should try for a Dentist Trained at the Mexico City Dental School as they are rated right up there with the University of Washington Dental Collage.

Neighbor had 10 crowns done in one sitting... on the second trip down. She said there were a team of 3 Dentists working on her. Cost was around that of 3 Crowns done up here.

I get all of my dental work done in MX. Last visit I got an ultrasonic cleaning done for $30. This Christmas I'm getting all of my resin fillings replaced for $150. The thieves in the US wanted $1800. If the insurance companies would refuse to pay the outrageous fees that our doctors insist on we wouldn't need reform. Jump at the chance to get any medical procedures done in MX. Better equipment, better service, better price.

I go to Dr. Eloy in Chapala, Jalisco but Progreso is a border town in south TX that has 80 dentists in a 3 block area just to serve Americans who are tired of the robbery here. That's about 8 hours drive for you unless you want to fly to Mccallen and rent a car.

That's what I was thinking. Just trying to get prices and such. And testimonies.

we are in Cozumel right now. Dr. Miralles here is very good. Your wife could sit on beach while you sit in the dentist chair.

Yea, that site has been a huge source of info. The hardest thing is finding a dentist that will use N2O on me.
