It's funny, but it also has a lot of truth to it.
I was in a store the other day and found a sweet little old lady looking intently at several converter boxes, not knowing which to buy or what to do. After talking with her, I could see that she understood she needed a box, but had no idea what to do next.
I suggested the Zenith DTT-900 or better yet, the Zenith DTT-901, because it's simple, it works very well, and you can find it in several stores.
She had no idea that the standard rabbit ears may not work too well with DTV. In our area, dropouts (freeze-ups) are very common, no matter what you try to do with the rabbit ears. (I understand that others across the US have seen the same problem.) I was able to direct her to a store that sold better antennas.
Most don't know about the channel re-alignment on February 18, 2009. You will need to re-scan your converter or DTV, because on February 18, many of the stations will switch frequencies.
