Is THIS why someone was interested in 'when' I became a member? I joined in February of '08, after checking out the site for a few days.

We didn't take delivery of Lil Panda until January 26, 2009, so I had been on here for nearly a year before getting our smart.

Now I can't wait to get a second one. If only GM had said: "sorry Saturn owners, you're up "ship" creek, as we're not going to make any more cars, parts, honor your warranty OR work on your cars....FOREVER! Maybe then I could have talked 'Deer 1' into another smart.....eventually. It would have to be a EV/ED/whatever....Electric model.

Ok, back on topic....if I leave, you will know it! Well, maybe after a year or so someone will say 'Hey, whatever happened to that big, fat black and white furry old fart that was on here?' Sure is an improvement with HIM gone!

I think I'm going to change my moniker to "Stet-Confused".
Why on earth would old, original members leave this community, (short of disowning their Smarts)?

This is a pretty good idea, given the camraderie and apparent friendships that have formed around this car. But has your *core* membership really been that depleted, and in such a short time? In what, 3 or 4 years?

Woke up this morning to the Blue Screen of Death. My Comnputer would not reboot no mater what I did. Trying normal took me back to asking me if I wanted to try Safe Mode. Safe Mode took me to a Blue screen.


Took it to the Geek squad and the quoted me about 1/2 the price of a new Computer to diognose and fix it. And since the screen is cracked and the wireless is broken it just is not worth it.

Im having them try and recover files from the computer now,

Walked to the back of the store to see about a new computer. Well since Windows 7 is being released on Thursday they have been deleeting the stock of Vista Computers. About 5 Display computers were left on the floor. I am not picking up one of those. They may have H1N1 on them.

So for mow I will attempt to check the Vitals on a Borrowed Machine when I can.

So for the most part, that's wh I will not be on here as usual for about a week at least.

Hope to see some of you on Sunday In Lake Geneva. Monuro has my cell # for that.

OK Im almost back.

New Computer on desk. Photos all loaded back on. About 20 Gig of Photos reorganized into new folders.
So far so good.

Downloading I tunes right now, Should be done in about 3 hrs.

I'm heading off on a job for a week and will be without internet access. If smart decides to offer a free turbo or supercharger upgrade while I'm away, will someone please PM me....

I've found another forum which is going to be taking up a good deal of time for a while.

There is SO much to learn. I've already made one poor purchase decision (which will be returned unopened). For the topic, the forum appears to be as much a mine of information as SCOA is for the smart.
