"The Heart Attack Grill" - Chandler, AZ

did anyone see on CBS' "Sunday Morning" today the story on "The Heart Attack Grill"? i think they said it was in Arizona.

they have NO diet drinks, NO lettuce on their burgers and use LARD to cook their fries in and to put on the sandwich as 'dressing'.

their burgers come four ways:

1) Single ByPass with one HALF POUND of ground beef.

2) Double ByPass with DOUBLE the beef

3) Triple ByPass with ONE AND A HALF POUNDS of beef

and finally

4) Quadruple ByPass with FOUR half pounds of beef...TWO FULL POUNDS and oh, by the way, it weighs in with 8,000 CALORIES!!!!

on the Quad besides the beef, is cheese, about half an onion and about an entire tomato. THAT'S IT!

the entire waitress staff is dress in scantily clad nurses outfits and the owner, know as "The Dr" pretends to come around and take your pulse and check your heartbeat. of course, the waitress' are THE BEST and will blow any Hooters Girls away!!!!

too bad it's in Arizona.....but it would make for one Hell of a "Last" Road Trip!!!

Don't forget the Flatliner Fries cooked in Lard.

And no Diet Coke.

Such intrest after that segment the Web site can't handle it.

Oh Yeah!!!! I've been threatening to do a road trip from So Cal for awhile now. There was a blurb on HDNet Deadline yesterday too, but not as good as the one on CBS.

They also did a story on 'Donuts'. One of the featured donut shops was "Longs Donuts" here in Indy, just down the street from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. They also have a second location on the southside on Southport Road.

It's a MUST if you're ever in Indy and wanting a donut. They literally MELT IN YOUR MOUTH!!!

the first pic must be an old one. the "Dr" specifically said 'we don't even put LETTUCE on our burgers'. i would have to remove the lettuce anyway just so that it would fit into my MOUTH!

AND YES, we DO need a 'first hand report'. OR we could go on a smart car Road Trip to Chandler AZ! then again, after eating there, some of us may no longer FIT in our smarts.........
