It wil be interesting to see how this plays out!! But seems far fetched! No loss of power, 400 HP, over 100 MPG. I feel like the AFLAC duck, just shaking my head!!!

The article offers no technical information on his "discovery." If he really had something like he claims, he would have patented it, sold it, and been waving his patent approval paperwork in front of the camera on his way to the Caribbean. But he knows what to tell the press to get his fifteen minutes of fame. The CNN video seemed to be equally him and his collection of Ford Muscle cars/trucks.

sorry, don't remember the articles, but i DO remember Smokey Yunick and the "Best Damn Garage in Town". back in the '60s, his black and gold Chevys' were the scourge of NASCAR. i'm sure each time one of his cars went through 'tech' they were expecting to find just about anything and usually found nothing. he was too smart and clever for them. but i do recall him always having some 'invention' that he was working on. back in those days, it was either he or Andy Granatelli who were always coming up with something.
Andy's deal for a long time was the "Paxton Supercharger", adding it to everything from 413 Mopar to a Studebaker. eventually he moved on to bigger and better things......TURBINES!!!
now THAT'S what we need, a turbine powered SMART!

This guy is a total unknown. And I can probably go out in my driveway and check again, but I don't think that my smart has an adiabatic engine, it has what this latest hoser-of-the-week called a "rod and piston" engine. He might have gains some cred had he referred to it as an "otto cycle" engine, but I'm betting the term would be new to him.

Reason: Spell check can't help if it's the right word in the wrong place.
