This is our planet. lets keep it green. i know my piddly little self wont make much of a difference but i do everything i can to burn less awful gasoline without inconveniencing everyone else and myself. i destroyed my lawn to plant trees. they dont need as much corrosive fertilizer to stay green. and trees produce more oxygen and make my neighborhood look greener. YAY. smartcars are great. they really help us live a great life. too many large trucks cut me off because they think they own the road. i wish i could make them sell their enormous poop mobiles to plant more trees around the earth. im lucky my smartcar is extraordinarily safe on the road. i have nothing to worry about when a monstrosity such as a for excursion nearly drives me into a ditch. i have saved enough gas to buy those pitiful people's children. oh guys, forgive me about my excessive rant but it feels like my personal progress is being ruined by people who insist on ruling the road... kind of like the U.S. does with foreign countries. its all a big no no. i hope we come to peace.
hmmm, sounds like you may love the world, but sure hate an awful lot of the things on it. Now if we could just take away everything we don't like from all those big bad people, wouldn't it be a lovely world?
Well that was an interesting post about bad drivers in SUV's. I'm pretty sure the Smart car has a "black box" computer inside that can provide driving information after an accident. If every car had such a device I think people would drive more carefully. if you get in an accident and the black box proves you were speeding, you would have major civil liability. That's about the only way the driving world is going to get better, if people are held financially accountable for their actions. Right now people can get away with driving like lunatics on the roads.

US made cars have the "Black Box". It is not discussed much but they are there and we can get a lot of information after an accident. Speed at time of impact, highest speed with date and time, when brakes were applied and how hard, where lights or signals activated, much more....

Too bad you live in a democracy (sorry, representative republic) and can't force those people out of their cars! Socialism would be SO much better.

Fact is I see just as many sports cars, sedans and pickup trucks where the drivers seem to think they own the road as I do SUV's. I have no doubt one day someone will beeitch about someone driving a smart as if they own the road.
You have nothing to worry about? Think again. We all have plenty to worry about each and every time we are out there driving. From the big trucks down to the motorcycles. Because of those that are distracted and/or in a hurry and/or otherwise a hazard that just means every time I go out I have to be that much more attentive and proactive. When I'm riding a Harley I might have the right of way. But right of way doesn't mean cr@p if I'm dead.

The world would be a much more peaceful, environmentally friendly place without human beings. Hopefully that won't happen in my lifetime, your lifetime, or our children's lifetime.

The cash yield per acre for fuel crops is so high that several countries are slashing rain forest at an exceptional rate to plant sugar cane, beets, and corn.... Anyone besides me see the problem with this plan?
Statistically, you and your family is safer in a 4000~5000 pound car, truck, or van then in a light vehicle of any design. This can only be offst by paying attention and actually driving your vehicle instead of doing every thing else... driving a car is no time to multi task...period!
USA Cafe 35MPG mandate for all vehicles, regardless of class or size, will be the death of what is left in American vehicle manufacturing. How much was last quarters Chevrolet losses? $62 or $65 BILLION? something like that...Ford did not do too much better, nor did Dodge
Electric cars are not ecologically friendly

No matter how you implement solar, wind, and geothermal; combined they can never provide more them 15% of all our electrical needs... We will probably never dam another river so hydro is done...stick a fork, well done!
Coal, and Nuclear electricity must be expanded, made safer, and cleaner.
