Body kit, wheels (undecided), better radio, green CLOTH seats and everything that is beige in my interior redone in green along with a quality armrest instead of the Canadian one that is now falling apart after a year. Maybe even go for the fancy doors.
I'd use the other 4 grand (because I did all this myself to save money) to pay for a spare motor/tranny and some extra gas money even though a turbo kit is appetizing. My car is going to be a high mileage car so I like the idea of spare engines (you should see my garage now).
not much, at least looks wise. some black 3 spoke rims, black painted headlight assemblies, body panels (color and black) painted metallic orange, cruise, armrest, carputer, tint. Oh, and a turbo! Honestly, probably something custom in that department, and I'd probably still have money left over. With that leftover money, probably all suspension work.
I'd put the wife in it with me and with the 10k.. we would have one hell of a long road trip! let someone else do the math.. $25 bucks to fill it... average on the highway is 43mpg... 8.7 gallon tank...

I love a challenge! So at 43mpgs, 8.7 gal tank and $25 to fill it, that works out to about $2.87/gal you're paying for gas.
With $10K in your pocket and the above factors, the GOOD NEWS is that I figure you should be able to cover about 149,825 miles before you ran out of gas money. From Jacksonville, you could drive to Sarasota about 250 times!
The BAD NEWS is that in putting nearly 150,000 miles on your smart, it would have cost you over $5,000 in suggested maintenace if you took your smart to a smart center, not to mention about 4 sets of tires (approx $1,800) and anything else you might have fail during that many miles.

Almost 150K miles with one person to share it with? I would be afraid of what would fail

At one point during this 150k miles you'll most likely have to stop for food and maybe some shut-eye. That may cost a bit too.
If I had all my debts paid off, a good job, enough vacation memories under my belt that I'm not hoping to create more, and no woman to woo....
A snazzy computer integration providing multiple camera angles, GPS, communication between my cell phone, the car, and home.
My home is calling to say the garage door is open? Look at that- it is! I'll just close it and make sure it closes all the way).
My car called to say the alarm went off - I'll watch the mobile video in the seconds around that incident.
It's night and GPS says I'm approaching the house so the driveway lights are turned on automatically.
The idea of being able to record what happens on the road around me if I need to hold on to something that just happened is superb. I could recount the happening around the U-turn dweeb that I avoided with some strong "get the he!! out of the way" maneuvering or just what the deal was with the truck that backed into me in the parking lot. I'd be able to share with the cops what happened when motorcycle met car in rush hour traffic leaving the rider (in full leathers and helmet) and bike both flat on the ground - I only saw what happened after the bump.
Even more intelligence in the computer and resolution in the camera? Road sign recognition. When have you found yourself on an unfamiliar road wondering "what is the speed limit here? Did I pass a sign?"
I'm already happy with my paint, wheels (including pads and rotors), audio, soundproofing....
What I'd really like I can't get: supercapacitor-based engine modification for a nano-hybrid (since "micro-hybrid" drive is already taken).
