Less than 7% of forum members are supporting members and only 20 and 30% of those who are regular posters to the forum are supporting members.
With discussions abounding about a National Rally and an SCOA Newsletter or Magazine, and taking into consideration how much fun we are all having reading and posting to the Forum, is there a good reason not to support it?
If you have gotten just one piece of advise or an important fact about buying your smart, fixing your smart, troubleshooting your smart or improving your smart, the meager $15 annual dues is worth the investment. JMHO

I don't recall subscribing to an SCOA Newsletter or Magazine I just started receiving them in my email and wondered why I was receiving them? I am supporting this forum by purchasing parts from authorized SCOA vendors who in turn have paid SCOA (I'm assuming here) to advertise as a vendor and if that's not the case then it comes down to SCOA being a public (moderated) forum and it would be by everyone's individual choice that they could or (not to) contribute. I personally felt as if I was being made to feel guilty by not contributing from reading your post.
Razorback has a valid point, IMHO. But, the price of admission seems tiny to me considering how much I get out of it. It really is an individual thing.

Dune,
You are spot on - the WORLDWIDE wealth of smart fact, fiction, opinion and just rambling is priceless.
The folks who have posted real smart experiences to include mods, findings and failures make this a wonderful community!
Those who go the extra mile and post DIY information on smart mods are the best!
Obviously as in life, this community is made up of both givers and takers - GIVE a measly $15 to Smart Car of America today!!
Not to put my shrink hat on but how did I make you feel guilty? Support of anything public, other than those supported through our taxes; is voluntary. Your civic theater and symphony, a major portion of your Public Broadcasting station, National Public radio, etc.
My plug was that the forum deserves the support. The fact that less than 7% of the members are supporting members is just a fact. The observation that at any given time the percentage of supporting members logged onto the forum is 20-30% is just an observation. If you or anyone else feels like this is a pressure tactic to gain supporting members, let me say right now; that is not the case.
My ply is just this, you should support the place where you play.
