I saw that this morning. Right after I saw it I said it was the beginning of "The End - 2012" for our gradual decline. Mark my words, the few survivors 20 years from now will all be talking about how it all started with waffles............

I've not seen 2012 yet, but 'I've heard' that the end of the world begins with an Eggo shortage and goes downhill from there.

Maybe the movie should have been titled "2010"?
