Meeting some real people behind the nom de plumes today made me do this. The cars are great the people that take care of them are far more interesting.

Thumbnails/Avatars are too small for me to fit in. I just changed my avatar yesterday - was going to go with the Smart Stuffings thread but when I snapped the pic the resolution was too low but it works great for a avatar.
P.S. That's a life sized stuffed Spiderman and a ceramic elephant stuffed back there.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to have an avatar. I downloaded a pic of my car and it appears on my profile page but it does not appear on my postings. In several of my postings I have pleaded for anyone to tell me how to do it but no replies yet. Since this thread is specifically avatar related, can I please have some help?
***Thank you JPaul! It was so simple but you have to find it buried in the menus, something I was unsuccessful in doing. That's me behind the wheel. About 3 pixels worth.

Click on "User CP", at left, on the menu bar.
Under the "Your Control Panel" menu, the third sub-menu called "Setting & Options" starts with "Edit Avatar".
A window opens where you can fiddle with the "Custom Avatar" boxes.
Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 80 by 80 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).
Hey, Karl - nice photo. There should be some of the Houston meet posted soon. Arrived in Houston yesterday after driving through some heavy showers South of Texarkana; the car did fine in the wet.

If you are uploading an image from your computer, be extra-sure your picture is the right size: teeny. Look at both pixel size and file size.
I had to shrink mine WAY down in PhotoShop to get it small enough to upload.

Thanks the picture is of one of the really good days may there be more smart runs just like a "real" car just smaller... plesantly surprised at how well it handles 99% of my "needs".
