So I have had this chap MP3 player for about 3 years now. nothing fancy but it is small, and does what I need. Yesterday I found it in the dryer, seems I left it in the pocket of my sweat pants and forgot to put it back in the car. Now it is nice and shiny, and of course it doesn't work anymore. Time to buy a new one.
I hate it when that happens... good thing I go all the tunes backed up on my Touchpad.
jim have you put android on your TP yet? I just put ICS on it and LOVE IT! Also if you like palm devices you could get a palm pixi for very cheap (~$30-40) and use it as an mp3 player, that is what I do
If you are a true die hard palm fan, I have a pre2 on VZW I dont use anymore, and a pixi if you'd be interested in them......
I haven't encountered any bugs yet on my TP and have been running it for about 3 weeks now. Bluetooth doesnt work, but that doesnt bother me. I miss webos tremendously, but until they get more phones out and more apps, I'll have to stick with droid and am happy with it.
If all you want (or need) is a cheap mp3 player, keep an eye on Woot. Every so often they flush out another load of those little $5 Sansa mp3 players, and a couple of my motorcycle-riding friends have 'em & love 'em for tuneage on their bikes (and at the cost you pay on Woot, they're practically disposable).

The one I washed, I picked up at Menards for $12... I have picked up some for my son at Radio Shack too for a low price. Now he is using his phone, a Droid X that amazingly he has had for almost 2 years without losing it or damaging it. I am impressed!!
