NBC is NBQ!

Quote:
Again, NBC puts the USA (12 hours) behind the rest of the World. This is NOT tolerable!
Next time there is a breaking news, NBC will sit on it until prime-time to get more audience? To get more advertising money, more likely!
Upset,
JPaul
This is what I mailed to NBC Sports, Olympic feedback.

Note: NBQ stands for "Not Broadcast Quality" in the trade's lingo.

Team Handball

I watched team handball once at the Olympic training center in Colorado Springs years ago, during my first cross-country road trip (driving my Subaru Justy-continuously variable auto transmission). This cool sport was not offered in Physical Education. I suspect there would have been a few injuries. Instead, we must have played dodgeball and kickball, using red utility balls.

Fencing/Phys-Ed

Looks like NASA may be training the fencing/sabre team!

I wonder how many future olympians were picked last by team captains in gym classes.

Haha! I have to remember that one.

A twelve hour delay just doesn't make sense with today's real-time communication capabilities.

Badminton

The women sure are impressive in the way they handle and manipulate the shuttlecocks!

Tacky, Tacky, Orphan Beggar. And dangerous. Once we watched Xena, Warrior Princess, 'shuttle.' It was gruesome. But the bad men with no respect and no manners got a good lesson, and we love to retell the saga around campfires and boardrooms.

Maybe it is the 'deal' broadcasters made with the Chineese government and Olympic Committee - who knows?

I have 8 HD cable canels to watch and still can't get enough.

One of my favorite things is telling tales around bonfires.

Do the women play best out of 5 tennis sets, like the men(Grand Slam)?

Are floaties permitted for women's water polo?

All kidding aside, Congrats to all competitors, and the more Xena stories, the better.

Hockey

How many American girls play/played field hockey in middle and/or high school, never to play again?
