Port-au-Prince Earth Quake

A co-worker went to Facebook to find out about her friend in the Dominican Republic which I believe is on the same island. I had to use my netbook with a cellular modem so she could check her facebook account since it is blocked on the network at work. Google maps and 'Haiti earthquake'.

NCC, thanks for posting this thread - these folks had nothing to begin with and now have even less. Here's a video of Wyclef Jean on CNN describing his home, Haiti:

Doe anybody know of a good organization supporting this that I can donate to? (non-religious). Red Cross?

First post to the thread. I searched the Web and this seems to be the only one I'd trust, this early. Problem is the donation goes to Red Cross in general and cannot be directed to Hatian Earth Quake Relief specifically.

Anyone have anything else?

I just logged on to the internet and first thing I see is major earthquake hits Port-au-Prince. Even Facebook and YouTube are flooded with charities and news...

I haven't read the youtube comments, but you are right about hateful comments. Not what this country needs just now.
