Ahhhh, NCC. You would of LOVED it when I went ahead and opened the door of my house during a Typhoon when I lived in Guam. Pretty cool, winds VERY VERY high. High enough that I had left my hose reel in the back corner of my carport wedged behind the car. Found it the next day - A BLOCK AWAY! I also had a sliding plexiglass door blow out while I standing next to it. I did have plywood over it so no big deal besides ruining all my furniture/carpets and most everything else I owned because the house flooded.

I love storms!
Well the best I've got was a severe T-storm (I know, nothing like a hurricane or tropical storm) but I bet I'd have some fun with those coastal storms!
BBB, I have been through a couple storms (hurricanes). But, I think you know that. I give you the credit you deserve though for being through worse than I have. I'm in a sad situation where I don't feel I have a dwelling as safe as it could be now. And, a car which is most definitely NOT a good storm chaser vehicle.
But, given a sturdy shelter on high ground, a severe storm is almost as good as sex, and far BETTER than mundane sex.

I plan on digging in once I retire. Need to get a Bobcat or a front end loader on a tractor. Most likely I'll do an earthbag house. Wife keeps me from storm chasing, did it back in the day when I was Neon's age. I was driving a '67 Impala then, plenty heavy. BTW, not trying to "one-up" you NCC. Sorry if it came out that way.
Not at all BBB. I realize I haven't seen the worst ma nature can throw at me (or I'd probably be dead). I have seen enough to respect her, and still enjoy her strength though. I enjoy severe weather with proper precautions. I gave you credit because I know you've seen worse. My best storms were Eloise (1975) and Opal (1995), both cat 3s. I chased a few lesser storms, managed to get at landfall for a couple minor hurricanes. Notably Danny at Mobile ... 1997 I think it was, a Cat 1.
Even a minor hurricane is a major storm. And, if you've taken precautions, in my book, a very very sexy thing. OK, maybe most people won't see them as sexy, how about exhilarating?
An approaching hurricane gets me to the beach faster than news of a new micro-bikini. I was on PC Bch when Opal approached until a cop in a Jeep threatened me with protective custody. At that time, the surf was blown flat with swells eating away at the dunes, overtopping them. I LOVED being out there, the rain stinging my face, barely able to stand, very very sexy.
I've been in the eye of two Cat 5's. I seem to attract some of the worst weather anomalies out there. Been awhile since I've been in anything good, but that is a good thing.
