So, I went to a resume writing workshop this morning and it was really good. Not having needed one for 10 years, things have changed! So, now I have the skills to describe my skills.
On the way home, I was stopped an an intersection and this kid with bright pink hair looks through my open passenger window and says "Your car is on MY team! I LOVE pink!" Then he shows me he his hands which are complete with really long pink fingernails and lots of flashy rings. I told him to check out the front lipstick. "AWESOME!" he shouts.
Pink is a happy color.
WOW, where do I begin? First, my mom made awesome salmon cakes/patties....I miss her.
Do you have any suggestions for us 'older' people that want to update their resume? Just curious as to what the latest and greatest way to draw up one is NOW?
Pink hair? Long, Pink fingernails? You did say "he", didn't you? Hummmm, guess PDX has some interesting people there.

Yeah, that was the major discussion topic at the workshop, as it's mostly us older workers who get laid off.
One thing (obvious) - Don't put your date of education and shorten your resume to only include the last 10-15 years. You can be seasoned without being old.
Also, the old rule about a 1-page resume is out. Use 2-4 pages and make it reflect your personality. Don't minimize technical skills, but emphasize soft skills too and use lots of action verbs. A chronological resume is still preferred.

Perhaps you should have your smart wrapped in your resume.
Spent the day at work cruising the internet bored. Looked at box-truck RV conversions......aka Toy Haulers. I'm thinking a smart will fit perfect back there. Wife isn't jazzed about the idea....so it won't become a reality. There are enough things on my plate anyhow. Sad as I visited my uncle who just happened to be at work and just happened to have a UHaul truck for sale....wife was even more peeved I stopped in just to look at that truck.
Hemming's Classic Car magazine has a '49 Buick that is Green with Red interior. I like that color combo. Only a crazy person would have a green car with red interior.
Ive just found out another roadster is for sale for starting bid of $9000 in BHM in san diego, which sucks since i dont have money lol. But if someone here buys it, let me know where you live and where you keep the keys at night...;(
What would YOU do, how would YOU feel, if tomorrow there is undeniable proof that extraterrestrials have long been communicating with government agencies? What social, religious/spiritual implications? (Oh, is that prohibited? Dayum) OK, forget the religious and go with spiritual? Oh, wait, I mentioned government agencies, that could get political.
Just forget the question.
NCC1701: it doesn't have to be "tomorrow". There is already proof, but the government is hiding it!
