I'm supposed to cook it, but I have no idea what to do with it.

There is a new invention out called a cook book. I am not that familiar with it since I am not used to these new fangled things they come out with lately.

MSG= Accent, spice isle. Lard or Manteca is usually by the meat counter. Ask your butcher. The Mexicans use it in tamales. Easy on the MSG...it's bad for your gizzard.

Ingles in Robbinsville, NC home of THE DRAGON likely has pails of lard in the cooler.

Just before she dropped the turkey on the floor I think Julia Child mentioned that you can substitue beer for MSG?

Thaw the damned thing out. Salt, pepper, garlic salt the roast and brown in a cast iron or heavy fry pan.

Put the browned roast in a slow cooker with 1 cut up onion and two smashed cloves of garlic. Add water until it reaches the top of the roast and cook on high until it boils then turn to low and cook 6 hours.

Serve with your favorite veggie and mashed potatoes, use the remaining juice to make gravy.

BTW, be sure to carve across the grain.

Or and beer!

Runner. That sounds perfect. I'f I leave now I can be at your place (driving, stopping only for GAS)-(Pun intended) for Lunch tomorrow, I'll bring the beer.

1,143 mi – about 19 hours 48 mins

The only problem here is that roast beef and beer aren't random thoughts for me...?
