Removing Emblems from not-smart things

I saw the thread about removing smart emblems Removing smart emblems and was wondering if the same process could be used to remove the emblems (badges) from my new kitchen appliances. I've got 4 of them all different brands and if it weren't for the manufacturers logos on each, they would look perfect.

So, has anybody removed emblems from stainless steel and would the same process (heat, solvents and fishing wire) work?
