White Fang was the puppet I remember. I don't remember the others either. Soupy was a true giant of the comedy world. The world is a sadder place with his passing.

I was an adolescent in southern Ohio when Soupy had an afternoon show.It was after school.I read somewhere that the time the show came on had to be moved back from its originally slated time to accomodate the afterschool schedule becouse up till that time in some areas kids would stay home from school JUST TO SEE THE SHOW!

I forgot to mention that two of Soupy's sons were in the rock group,Tin Machine, along with David Bowie.This was among Bowie's least popular incarnations.

No disrespect intended but, It was "Black tooth".

It was "Willy the worm" in the little trailer. Willy wished a happy birthday to the children that the parents had mailed in the name. According to Soupy, After Willy sneezed, Soupy would exclaim "That is the sickest worm in all the world".

To me he was a very early nutritionist. He would tell all the boys and girls what he was going to have for lunch the next day. My wife (and I'm sure countless others) had to make what soupy was going to have.

In Detroit, Soupy had a kids program on at noon and a sustaining adult program very late at night (around midnight), both on WXYZ

Anybody else have anything to contribute ?
