As I understand this, it stops being a reservation once you BUY the car. Then you can sell it. It doesn't bother me one way or the other as long as I maintain my place in line. I'm sure lots of people will pay more to have theirs first. Just the fact of the grey market prices proves that. For the right price I'd sell mine, too. As Fred says, it's just a car.

Well the way I read his E-bay ad he has to physically buy the car before he can transfer it by sale to the "winner"

He clearly states this right up front...

Profiteer..yes..the American way..most arsuredly... pricelss..NOT!

And yes the notion that Karma does catch up with folks...does play into my behavior some days

Who are we to say that he did not plan to buy a His and Hers Smart car and later got divorced, wife died, or wife said no way you owe me a REAL Mercedes!...
