Star Trek (new)

It looks like it will be ok but it's kind of weird that the cast is no one from STNG or original ST. This is "suppose" to be the Star Trek to get people into it that have never heard ST. What do you guys think about it.

Not too crazy about the trailer, but will be watching it closely to see how it is accepted. Let the fun begin

We'll be seeing it even though we never go to the movies - we make it a point to go to Trek movies....except Nemesis - I opted to sit that one out though I did see it on DVD later. Besides that, I've been to every Trek movie since.....well - we'll just say since Kirk was on the big screen and not Picard. PICARD STILL RULES!! AHAHAHAHAHA!

The new Star Trek is Kirk, Spock, Bones... the whole crew. Just younger. This is supposed to take place around the time the characters were in the academy.

It ought to be fun.

Yah well, some of the originals are orbiting earth along w/Gene Roddenbury, like James Doohan (Scotty). Others opted for a more traditional rest, Bones, (DeForrest Kelley).

I still like the 'originals' the best; Especially since my favorite, Scotty, doesn't appear in the 'new' version until 80 minutes have passed. What good is it w/o 'Beam me up, Scotty"?

I believe Leonard Nimoy is supposed to play or at least voice the part of Old Spock. so one of the originals is in there somehow...
