The T. Boone Pickens Plan

Watch the 10 minute video in this link. I think he should be the next energy secretary for this country.
I wonder how feasible it would be to convert a smart over to CNG? Fuel up your own car at home with Honda's NG refueling station....the one they use on the Civic GX.....HMMMMM interesting concept there.....This would help jump the gap between present and PHEV.

The guy just wants a subsidy.

T Boone Pickens wants to pick your pocket by getting Washington to send a few billion his way.

Why else do you think he is doing this large PR campaign? He did not do PR campaigns for the previous oil projects in his life because these projects made financial sense so he was able to make a profit without picking anyone's pockets.

Since his "new" ideas do not make economic sense, and he knows it, he needs money from your 1040 tax return in order to make his "new" profits.

Well, to sum it up for all of you who are willing to buy into the Kanamits’ plan:

IT'S A COOKBOOK! The first page is just a collection of words with their English translation! The rest of the book - To Serve Man - is a cook book!

I'm not sure why so many people are so willing to drink the poisoned Kool-Aid every single time some says to ... but, geez, COME ON! At some point - after the earth cooling, the oil disappearing, the oil reappearing, the earth warming, the ocean levels dropping, the ocean levels rising - when are y'all going to wise up?

Your pal,
Meat.

Do yourself a favor and read up on the man before you go making stupid statements about him.
He is a top flight environmentalist (but not the tree hugger type) and one with some clout that could help change our country's present energy posture to a positive one that will benefit US instead of foreign countries.

This country needs someone like him who is coming forward to make something happen instead of just talking about it for another decade or two.

You make him out to be some kind of sheister looking for a free ride....Give me a break.

Formulating a plan to utilize wind and solar to free up NG for use in automobiles sounds like a pretty solid idea to me and certainly NOT one you claim to *not make economic sense*.

I did read Pickens' plan ... and it's plain to see that it's just more hooey.

I am proud to be a member of a club that doesn't believe every knuckleheaded whackjob plan that comes down the pike. It's better than being a member of the Poisoned Kool-Aid Klub.

Your pal,
Meat.

Well, yeah. Precisely. He is investing $56 million dollars cash into his devious PR stunt in order to get the politicians to extend the 2˘/kw wind tax-subsidy that expires December 31st this year.

2˘/kw may not sound like much to you, but it is roughly a 25% cashback check straight from your 1040 tax return into T Boone Pickens' bank account.

Projects that make sense are self-funding and do not require anyone to pick the taxpayer pocket. Our pocket.
